Thankfully, there are a number of version control systems out there. Most notable today is one called Git, and it is a very lightweight, simple-to-use, and fast version control system, primarily aimed at text and text-like files, which makes it great for programmers, writers, and anyone who generates lots of text.
Jeff will introduce you to a number of core topics surrounding version control, and Git, as well as step through the most basic setup and commands for a Git repository.
